This painting was inspired by a small postcard and was realised in July - August 2019. As opposed to most of my paintings, this painting was mostly done outside, in the garden during that hot summer. I think it did help with the color mixing. I had a lovely time painting it and I nearly felt like I was there, in a lavender field in the French Provence.
